Capsized from a violent storm, out of the blue, Terrified he drifts upon a raft at sea, Alone he rides the rolling waves, Alone he wonders, what will be, One day, two days, three days, four, Death begins to knock on the door, He cries, "Why my Lord have you abandoned me?" "Why must I die all alone here at sea?"
He was beaten violently on all sides, His flesh ripped, slashed, and torn, His face dripping with blood from piercing thorns, Alone he carried a sin laden cross along the way, His feet eaten away from the rocky sun baked clay, Nailed upon the cross, death knocks at the door, He cries, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" His arms outstretched upon the wood of a tree,
The storms of life arrive at times, out of the blue, Heavy burdens and broken hearts are all I see, Alone I seem to ride the rolling waves, Alone I ponder, what will be, Does anyone out there care about me? Does anyone understand my sorrow; my pain? "My God, you promised to always be there, I'm all alone, it's just not fair, it's all to much to bear,"
Alone adrift at sea, Alone with no company, Alone overwhelmed with pain, Alone crucified and slain, Alone stricken with loss, Alone burdened with a cross, He answers, "Alone My child you will never be, Alone I Am the living God, place your trust in Me!"
